Company Bloggers Style The Highstreet Event

Dress- Sparkle And Fade (Urban Outfitters)
Necklace- Zara
Heels- Topshop Gallop

On Thursday, my friend Hannah and I headed up to London to attend the Company Bloggers Style The High Street event in Tabacco Dock in London. After successfully navigating the Underground during rush hour, we rocked up just in time for doors opening and I changed into my amazing new shoes in the queue. As much as I love them, I didn't last very long in them. Beautiful but painful, as is the story with most heels!

I have mixed feeling about the event. The venue was stunning and there was more than enough space but all of the stands such as hair styling and nail art were all cramped into a small space where long queues quickly formed minutes after doors opened. The fashion show also ran behind schedule and we were given no information as to when it started, eventually having to ask security if they knew and once in, there was a large group of us that hadn't been assigned a table number leading to a bit of confusion at the doors.

However, it was by no means all bad. The fashion show was entertaining with a nice blend of fashion and dance and we were all grateful of the tapas inspired nibbles they had given us. In true student style, we did not hold back. Free food is always free food. All the drinks were also included and the staff were all really nice. The goody bag at the end included a mix of things from the sponsors at the event and other little beauty samples. As for the fashion side of things, I appreciate that the bloggers had to work within the scope of the shop they were styling but I much preferred eyeballing what my fellow attendee's were wearing. My favourite styled collection would probably have to be Warehouse styled by Amy. We quickly did a sweep of what was on offer in the styling area before scrambling upstairs to where we made the most of the selfie and blog photo opportunities.

Like I said, it's a mixed bag and after a long day, I was just pleased to be heading back home, feeling somewhat underwhelmed. I wouldn't jump at the chance to go again, personally.

Did anyone else go?
What did you make of the event?

Outfit Of The Day- Witchy

Jacket- H&M
Vest worn underneath- H&M
Leather Leggings- Calzedonia
Boots- Topshop
Scarf- Zara (last season)

I do love my all black outfits. As I veer more and more (and comfortably so) to more monochrome wardrobe, I find black jackets like this one all the more appealing. In any other situation, I would naturally grab my leather jacket, but, assuming the same rule as double denim, this jacket gives me the warmth without doubling the leather texture. Of course, I had to throw on my beloved Zara scarf from last winter that is still so warm and comforting and at least there's a small flash of colour.

I've been welcoming the autumn winter trends arriving into the shops and have been picking a few bits and bobs here so look out for more outfit of the days. My timetable doesn't seem so hectic as it was in second year- I tend to have more intense days and then days which are mostly free so I think those will be my blogging days.

What your current favourite trends?

Outfit Of The Day- White Out

Blazer- Topshop
Vest- H&M
Shorts- Zara

As promised, this is wore on our day out in Brighton a few days ago. The Topshop blazer is a new love of mine. I bought it because I absolutely fell in love with it and then argued that it would be perfect for Spain....*cough* It really is gorgeous though and the clean simple and tailored fit to it really suits my figure. And seeing as it was a nice warm sunny day, I ended up wearing all white, quite the contrast to my previous OOTD of all black. It was nice to get the pins out for one last day of sunshine at any rate. I'm sitting here writing this listening to the rain absolutely pour down and I have to go out soon...
These pictures were taken in the beautiful Pavillion gardens so if you're ever down Brighton way, they're definitely worth a stroll round or perfect for a picnic lunch.

Outfit Of The Day- Hey Iron Man, Hey Spidey

T-shirt- Topshop
Leggings- H&M
Shoes- New Look

Hey guys! I just had to share with you this T-shirt I picked up a few weeks ago. It's Iron Man and Spidey! I have to admit I bought the T-shirt almost entirely for the Iron Man element. And to be honest, the Iron Man element just reminds me of Robert Downey Jr and who doesn't want to be reminded of that- he's a badass. I even managed to walk around in this without the need for the jacket. I love the hour change as it means there's enough light still for me to drag the boy outside for an OOTD after I get back from uni.

I spent last weekend up at my boyfriends house before we headed back to university together. It's his birthday in a few weeks time but he always does something big with his family in the holidays. We ended up going paintballing... which was an experience... a very muddy, muddy experience.... Not entirely my cup of tea but the weekend as a whole was fun.
I've been a bit stressed out with uni recently too. We have to write a research proposal for our project that we do on our year abroad next year. I think I've rewritten mine about 5 times and it's due in on Thursday and is still is only half doing. I'll be glad to see the back of it by the end of the week. And then exam revision kicks in but at least I'm done by the end of May! I have a nice long summer to enjoy before I ship out to Spain in September.

Hope you guys are keeping well!
Who else is enjoying the lighter evenings?!

Outfit Of The Day- The Midi

Jacket- Asos
Top- Topshop
Skirt- Topshop
Scarf- H&M
Gloves- New Look

Feels like I haven't done an OOTD in yonks! I know a lot of bloggers have been saying the same issue of light, especially now the clocks have gone back. I have the same problem as well as being at uni for the most part of the day. I'm usually too late coming back to get natural light and in too much of a rush in the morning to snap any. I managed to rig up some weird lighting concoction for these and it still isn't brilliant.
I also apologise for the quality of photos. My camera's always been a bit funny on timer mode and as you now its not an SLR. I am aware of the gritty quality but fear not, as I may be getting an SLR for my 21st birthday which is coming up very quickly! Which is great because not only will I be able to improve my blog but also I want to take it on my year abroad in Spain and get some really great memories

Onto the outfit! It's fair to say I've been bitten by the midi bug. I absolutely love them.  think they look smart, sexy and are great with tights and a pair of boots in the winter. This one is from Topshop and is crucially double layered which is great for the colder days. A lot of things I don't like about Topshop is how thin their material can be at times which always makes consider if it's worth the price. But this one really is! It ends literally where the bottom of the photos end so a few inches below the knee. It's a good thing the photo ends there though because otherwise you'd just be able to see the piles of crap on my floor!
I also snapped by these great pair of faux sheepskin gloves from New Look. They are so so soft! I'm one of those people that gets painfully cold hands (and feet for that matter) in the winter, so these are perfect for me!

A/W 12 Jackets

I can't make up my mind! I always said to myself that at the end of working the whole summer, that I would buy myself a leather jacket as a treat to myself and as a wardrobe essential in the long term. But with all the new season items flooding into the shops, I couldn't help but notice all the gorgeous new jackets around me including a divine Zara blazer with studs on the shoulders and River Island one which just looks super comfy but unfortunately the picture doesn't do its texture much justice.

Oh toooo many things I want! Isn't this always the case aha?

Hauling

Collection 2000 Collection
Eco Brushes Concealer Brush
Zara Bag
Topshop Peplum Top
Topshop T-Shirt
Topshop Bandage Skirt
River Island Ruched Maxi Skirt

As promised these are the things I picked up on my little shopping trip. I want more cosy jumpers and cardigans in the shops now but I'm looking forward to styling all of these particularly the maxi skirt which is the perfect winter colour. I love the ruching and it has a split to the tight but with a pair of wooly tights and boots, it'll be perfect.
I'm also really happy with the peplum top. I wasn't sure it would suit my figure and when I tried it on, I wasn't sure but I then found it the Tall section and it fit like a glove! Chuffed. Also pleased with the bag, was really cheap at £20. I'm really picky with bags- they have to be just right and ideally big enough to fit an A4 notebook in so I can use it at uni. I might get a few more holes punched into the strap so I can lengthen it a bit. Most shoe repair places will do it for free.

Anyway, I hope you guys like.
Look out for them appearing in OOTD's soon.

Outfit Of The Day feat. Dusty Rose Maxi Skirt

Top- H&M
Gilet- H&M
Belt- UO
Skirt- New Look
Shoes- Topshop

It wasn't raining here today in England so I dashed outside to take this OOTD while I had the chance. Shortly after, the drizzle reappeared. No surprises there....
No llovió hoy en Inglaterra así aproveché de la oportunidad para hacer un OOTD. Poco después, la llovizna reapareció. Sin sorpresa....

The maxi skirt and the gilet are two things I hadn't worn since my recent little shopping trip and I love them both. While it's still a bit nippy in the wind, adding an extra layer to your torso can really keep you a bit warmer. I'm also wearing my beloved peace belt that I've been wearing non stop.

Anyway just a quick OOTD
Hope you guys like!

Outfit of The Day feat. Acid Wash Jeans

wonky camera- oops!

Denim Shirt- Thrifted
Vest- Topshop
Jeans- Cheap Monday
Shoes- New Look

Today was a day hanging with friends that I hadn't seen in a while and this is what I threw together. I absolutely love the vest from Topshop and normally I steer away from the American print- (which, by the way, is a trend I totally dont get...) I couldn't resist the eagle combined with the acid wash.

This look would be perfect with a leather biker jacket for a tougher look or cut off high waisted shorts for more of a festival vibe.
Este 'look' sería perfecto con una chaqueta de piel para un look más fuerte o con shorts para un look de festival.

I hope you guys like!

Headed into town today and got some absolute bargains! I bought a Bobbi Brown concealer discounted to £15 and a No. 7 Eyeshadow Blending Brush, which I have been meaning to get for absolutely ages for £2 thanks to a lovely male cashier ;)

I bought the lace biker jacket absolutely ages ago for H&M and I still get people commenting on it when I wear. It's such a stand out wardrobe piece and I'm so glad I bought it.

Looking brown thanks to the sunshine

OOTD And A Mini Haul

Outfit
Top- Vintage
Shorts- American Apparel
Earrings and Necklace- Topshop
Shoes- New Look

Earrings- Topshop
Vest- Topshop
Sleeveless Shirt- H&M
Strapless Dress- New Look
Make Up Roll and Camera Case- Mother Dear :p

Ah the sun is shining again down here. I popped into town with my sister and picked up a few bits and bobs. I could spend so much money in the shops at the moment! All the new Spring Summer stuff has got me all excited! I go back to uni soon so I have a huge pile of clothes to organise and I am most definately going back with more than I left with!

I really love this outfit. I normally steer clear of anything cropped as I don't like my stomach and large boobs don't work in my favour but teamed with the new American Apparel high waisted shorts (which I got to replace the Disco Pants), it works so well! I am glad I swapped them for the shorts as I will be wearing these a lot! I also love the Topshop peace necklace. I've had my eye on it for ages and it's so simple and importantly, super long. The rest is other bits and bobs I've picked up recently. I'm thinking of customising the sleeveless vest with some spikes to give it a bit of edge.

I also included a picture of some things my mum has been making recently. The photo is landscape on my computer but for some reason Blogger decided it should be portrait instead... It's an ultra cute Cath Kidston-esque make up brush roll which matches really well with a make up bag I already have and I asked her to make a case for my camera, which, as you know if you've been following me a while, I have a habit of breaking. At least now I can sling it in my bag and it'll be protected.

So yeah! I can't believe how quickly this holiday has gone! Me and the boy are heading to Thorpe Park for his birthday but apart from that I have got so much work to do! Eurgh it's going to be a busy month :(

How are you guys doing?
