Outfit Of The Day feat. Peace Belt

Jumper- H&M
Shorts- American Apparel
Belt- Urban Outfitters

Just a very quick OOTD for you. The jumper is a excellent little piece for when it's changeable weather- hot and sunny one minutre and then overcast the next. The jumper and belt are both recent buys.
I also included a quick snap of my hair. I had a trim and it's gone into super curly mood. Absolutely mad :)

I'm off back to uni at the weekend to move our stuff into the house for second year. It will be nice to see the boy and the rest of my university friends. The student bars are opening especially for that weekend, fingers crossed it's good weather! Probably jinxed it now...

Have a good day :)

OOTD And A Mini Haul

Top- Vintage
Shorts- American Apparel
Earrings and Necklace- Topshop
Shoes- New Look

Earrings- Topshop
Vest- Topshop
Sleeveless Shirt- H&M
Strapless Dress- New Look
Make Up Roll and Camera Case- Mother Dear :p

Ah the sun is shining again down here. I popped into town with my sister and picked up a few bits and bobs. I could spend so much money in the shops at the moment! All the new Spring Summer stuff has got me all excited! I go back to uni soon so I have a huge pile of clothes to organise and I am most definately going back with more than I left with!

I really love this outfit. I normally steer clear of anything cropped as I don't like my stomach and large boobs don't work in my favour but teamed with the new American Apparel high waisted shorts (which I got to replace the Disco Pants), it works so well! I am glad I swapped them for the shorts as I will be wearing these a lot! I also love the Topshop peace necklace. I've had my eye on it for ages and it's so simple and importantly, super long. The rest is other bits and bobs I've picked up recently. I'm thinking of customising the sleeveless vest with some spikes to give it a bit of edge.

I also included a picture of some things my mum has been making recently. The photo is landscape on my computer but for some reason Blogger decided it should be portrait instead... It's an ultra cute Cath Kidston-esque make up brush roll which matches really well with a make up bag I already have and I asked her to make a case for my camera, which, as you know if you've been following me a while, I have a habit of breaking. At least now I can sling it in my bag and it'll be protected.

So yeah! I can't believe how quickly this holiday has gone! Me and the boy are heading to Thorpe Park for his birthday but apart from that I have got so much work to do! Eurgh it's going to be a busy month :(

How are you guys doing?

Massive AA Disappointment & OOTD- Colour Blocking

Jacket- H&M
Black Top- Primark
Skirt- Topshop
Bag- Primark

I absolutely love the colour blocking trend and in a bid to introduce more colour into my wardrobe I bought the blazer and skirt a while back and the two together make the perfect colour combination, especially on a sunny day!

Now, I have a little confession to make. I have returned my Disco Pants. Well not exactly returned but I'll explain that later. Yep, after much deliberation and opinions from family and friends, I took them back (I'm very easily persuaded) However I have had an absolute nightmare with American Apparel. Why? Because they don't have a returns policy. End of. You cannot return/refund an item once you have bought it. And I was not aware of this when I impulsively bought them. You can only exchange and/or get store credit.

So I popped back into Brighton and was epically annoyed to find I had ventured out of my way back to Brighton for nothing as they didn't have any gift cards. And even if I wanted to exchange, unless it was to exactly the same value of the Disco Pants, any remaining credit would have to be placed on to the non existent gift cards. So a week, a complaint email (to which they didn't respond) and another train fare later, I successfully swapped them over for a pair of high waisted denim shorts, which to be fair, I will probably get a lot more use out of.

So yeah, I wasn't exactly impressed. I think the most irritating thing is- what company doesn't have a returns policy?! I cannot think of a single retail shop that doesn't give refunds. And I think it's a real swizz that you can only exchange, meaning in the end they still get all your money.

Anyway, rant over. I thought I should mention the whole returns fiasco because I think we so easily assume we can return items whenever. And if this helps one person notice this, then its been to use. Other than that, I think AA should put their policy in massive flashing neon lights next to their till...

Anyway, I'm off to work.
Have a lovely day xx
