Company Bloggers Style The Highstreet Event

Dress- Sparkle And Fade (Urban Outfitters)
Necklace- Zara
Heels- Topshop Gallop

On Thursday, my friend Hannah and I headed up to London to attend the Company Bloggers Style The High Street event in Tabacco Dock in London. After successfully navigating the Underground during rush hour, we rocked up just in time for doors opening and I changed into my amazing new shoes in the queue. As much as I love them, I didn't last very long in them. Beautiful but painful, as is the story with most heels!

I have mixed feeling about the event. The venue was stunning and there was more than enough space but all of the stands such as hair styling and nail art were all cramped into a small space where long queues quickly formed minutes after doors opened. The fashion show also ran behind schedule and we were given no information as to when it started, eventually having to ask security if they knew and once in, there was a large group of us that hadn't been assigned a table number leading to a bit of confusion at the doors.

However, it was by no means all bad. The fashion show was entertaining with a nice blend of fashion and dance and we were all grateful of the tapas inspired nibbles they had given us. In true student style, we did not hold back. Free food is always free food. All the drinks were also included and the staff were all really nice. The goody bag at the end included a mix of things from the sponsors at the event and other little beauty samples. As for the fashion side of things, I appreciate that the bloggers had to work within the scope of the shop they were styling but I much preferred eyeballing what my fellow attendee's were wearing. My favourite styled collection would probably have to be Warehouse styled by Amy. We quickly did a sweep of what was on offer in the styling area before scrambling upstairs to where we made the most of the selfie and blog photo opportunities.

Like I said, it's a mixed bag and after a long day, I was just pleased to be heading back home, feeling somewhat underwhelmed. I wouldn't jump at the chance to go again, personally.

Did anyone else go?
What did you make of the event?

Outfit Of The Day- Witchy

Jacket- H&M
Vest worn underneath- H&M
Leather Leggings- Calzedonia
Boots- Topshop
Scarf- Zara (last season)

I do love my all black outfits. As I veer more and more (and comfortably so) to more monochrome wardrobe, I find black jackets like this one all the more appealing. In any other situation, I would naturally grab my leather jacket, but, assuming the same rule as double denim, this jacket gives me the warmth without doubling the leather texture. Of course, I had to throw on my beloved Zara scarf from last winter that is still so warm and comforting and at least there's a small flash of colour.

I've been welcoming the autumn winter trends arriving into the shops and have been picking a few bits and bobs here so look out for more outfit of the days. My timetable doesn't seem so hectic as it was in second year- I tend to have more intense days and then days which are mostly free so I think those will be my blogging days.

What your current favourite trends?

Outfit Of The Day- Led Zeppelin

T-Shirt- Second Hand
Denim Shirt- Second Hand
Shorts- H&M
Shoes- Birkenstocks

I apologise for the slightly out of focused nature of these photographs. If anyone has any advice for focusing a SLR on self timer against a white background, I'd gladly listen!
I think I'll have to keep fiddling with it for now.

Nevertheless, I've just got back from a little holiday with a friend and am feeling rather bronzed. To my delight, when I got back, it was even nice weather here in England, so, with a few errands to run, I needed something casual but cool to wear as I popped into town. The Led Zeppelin shirt is a man's shirt that I found in the Beyond Retro in Brighton. It was naturally enormous so I chopped off the sleeves and the main neckline and then twisted the remaining straps. A quick stitch with some black thread will keep it that way so the t-shirt doesn't look so bulky and is a nice trick for making big, second hand t shirt a bit more feminine.

I bought my Birkenstocks a little while back with the excuse intention that I would need something comfortable to walk around in in hot weather, when I go travelling. However, they ended up straight on my feet the second I bought them and I don't regret it for one minute. They are seriously the most comfortable shoes and I can't stop wearing them. I can see why some people would be put off them as they do make your feet look a bit big but the white leather makes them nice and summery and the comfort makes it totally worth it. If you're thinking of buying a pair, I would recommend buying a size down, as they do come off very big.

I hope you've been having a nice time, either in the sunshine or dodging thunderstorms

Outfit Of The Day- Floral Trousers

 Necklace- Zara
Vest- H&M
Trousers- Zara
Sandals- Zara

A very Zara heavy post today but when my student loan finally rolled in a while ago, I jumped at the chance to finally go shopping for some more summer clothes. The summer heat has truly rolled in here in Granada with it easily reaching mid 30s in the afternoon. Among all the things I had spotted, these trousers had been on my wishlist for a while. High waisted, perfectly loose and baggy and with this gorgeous summery floral print. The tie belt means you can really cinch in your waist and the print is very flattering when on. My only slight complain is that they are very long. I'm 5'8 and still drag on the floor so I'm hoping I might be able to have the hem taken up when I get back home- hello mother :D The necklace is also a new treasure with heavy silver metal and soft turquoise stones. It's slightly Arabic in design and I've been wearing non stop.

These photos were taken when my boyfriend finally got the chance to visit a few weeks ago. Obviously I had to make the most of the photo opportunity and we spied this little alley on the way back from the beautifl Jardines Carmen de los Martires up by the Alhambra in Granada. I would hugely recommend them as a secluded little area of Granada with great views and its own resident peacock.

I finally handed in my Spanish dissertation and save two exams at the start of June, I'm nearly with my year in Granada. It's absolutely flown by and although I have less than two months left here, I'm hoping to travel round Spain and venture out of AndalucĂa where I've now been to most of the main cities now. But Spain's a big country and there's a lot more to explore. I've got a hectic summer planned and although I'll be sad to say goodbye to my little slice of Espana, I can't wait to travel more.

I hope you guys are well

Outfit Of The Day- Exploring

Shirt- H&M
Shorts- Vintage

We've recently discovered a new corner of Granada that is a complete hidden gem. Up by the Alhambra, a small but steep walk away, is Carmen de Los Martires, three gardens stacked onto one another and running into the hills above. I hadn't been there until a few days ago and this was my return visit. All the trees and flowers are in bloom and provide all the shade and quietness you need to go relax in the breeze up there or to take in the stunning views of the last snow on the Sierra Nevada.

The weather is hot now, hot and muggy. We seem to have skipped spring and have gone straight into summer again. Not that I'm complaining. I do however have my dissertation due in two week and if anything, its a test of my willpower not to leave it for another day and go out into the sunshine instead. But sure most of you can sympathize with me on that one. When I do hand it in, it'll be fantastic. I think some retail shopping might be in order as a treat, naturally. Some good food and wine as well of course. I'm looking forward to it and I'm excited for the summer and trips to the beach.

Hope all of you are doing well
What are you looking forward to?

Outfit Of The Day- Ripped Jeans

Blazer- Pull & Bear
Top- H&M
Jeans- River Island
Bag- Zara

I'm back baby. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas holiday and got to chill out a bit, I know I definitely vegged out as soon as I got home. The holidays were all too quick though and I'm back in Granada now. It was a bit of a stressful time as we decided to move flat shortly after arriving back but after all the stress, we've ended up in a much better place that couldn't be more perfect in term of location and I have a big, luminous room. Absolutely perfect for blog photos. I thought for ages that I had an issue with my lens/ when I edited my photos as they were coming out really noisy as soon as I loaded them up on here but it turns out there's an issue with Google/Blogger that's an easy fix so hopefully my photos will improve in quality from now onward.

Two of the items here are things I snapped up in the sale- the Zara bag which is absolutely stunning and real suede and the blazer from Pull & Bear. I felt I was getting too comfortable always slipping into my leather jacket, which I will always love and cherish, but it was time to branch out a bit... to a black blazer instead...

Aaanyway, I hope to be blogging a lot more after the semester 1 exams here in Granada- I will have a lot more free time in semester two and the weather will be getting better and brighter so there's plenty to look forward to!

Have a good day guys :)

Outfit Of The Day- The Winter Uniform

Jacket- ASOS
Necklace- Zara
Scarf-Zara
Short- American Apparel
Boots- Topshop (last season)

This is fast becoming my favourite winter combination- my trusty leather jacket, a big ole scarf and big clompy boots. Mix with jeans depending on the weather. And the scarf is an absolute god send, it's like a blanket and it keeps you so warm and it's so soft. I'd massively recommend checking out the scarves in Zara- they always do great accessories and I've been lusting after a tartan scarf ever since it started getting cold.
I'm still trying to figure out lighting/ the best place to take outfit photos in my flat here in Spain. However, I figured as long as I've got my tripod up and ready, at least if I have some time before I shoot off out to uni or when I come back and no one is in, I can maybe try and do a few more OOTD's done. I miss my wardrobe back in England, feel like I'm missing so much :'( Damn you easyJet and your weight restrictions!

I hope you guys like.
Do you have a staple winter wardrobe combination too?

Outfit Of The Day- White Out

Blazer- Topshop
Vest- H&M
Shorts- Zara

As promised, this is wore on our day out in Brighton a few days ago. The Topshop blazer is a new love of mine. I bought it because I absolutely fell in love with it and then argued that it would be perfect for Spain....*cough* It really is gorgeous though and the clean simple and tailored fit to it really suits my figure. And seeing as it was a nice warm sunny day, I ended up wearing all white, quite the contrast to my previous OOTD of all black. It was nice to get the pins out for one last day of sunshine at any rate. I'm sitting here writing this listening to the rain absolutely pour down and I have to go out soon...
These pictures were taken in the beautiful Pavillion gardens so if you're ever down Brighton way, they're definitely worth a stroll round or perfect for a picnic lunch.

Outfit Of The Day- All Black Errrthing

Jacket- ASOS
Vest- H&M
Jeans- ASOS
Boots- Topshop Adonis
Necklace- H&M

This is what I wore to the Southampton Bloggers Meet Up the other day. It had been threatening rain all day and as I was getting ready, there was a massive thunderstorm with shake the house loud thunder. Thankfully it stopped before I had to leave but I decided to play it safe. Weirdly enough, I managed to go the entire day without even needing to open my umbrella.
The boots are last season Topshop, the beautiful Adonis boots in Oxblood, that I won off eBay not long ago and I had been dying to give them a proper outing. They have a cut out section on the side and I'm sure I will wear them to death over winter so keep an out for them!

I'm just beginning to lust over Autumn/Winter fashion but I'm trying hard to resist as it's still very warm in Spain.
Hope you guys have had a good weekend!

Outfit Of The Day- Harley Davidson

Jacket- ASOS
T Shirt- Vintage
Shorts- American Apparel

I feel like I haven't done an OOTD in ages! The good news, however, is that the majority of my room has now been repainted and is looking slightly less of a bombsite, although I still need to put shelves up so pretty much everything is living on the floor at the moment.

I was noseying around one of my favourite vintage shops in Brighton yesterday and fell in love my this original Harley Davidson top. Fits perfectly too. Weirdly enough there was a motorbike show not far from where I live so I wore this round proudly. There's an American car show tomorrow so I'm going to combine those pictures together. That being said, the rain has finally rolled in so I don't know how much of it we'll actually see. I also picked up a great jumper and a Led Zep top but it's a mens XL so I'm either going to have to cut it up or take it in.
I also got colour matched in Space NK for NARS Sheer Glow and I am a little bit in love. It has an amazing coverage and finish and it's sitting in my ASOS basket (hello student discount) impatiently but I'm trying to not spend money! Argh decisions! What should I do? Is it worth the money?!

Hope you guys are having a good weekend!
What should I do re NARS Sheer Glow?

Outfit Of The Day- The Habanera Jacket

Jacket- ASOS
Top- H&M
Jeans- BDG

Isn't it so nice to see blue skies! I feel like the UK has been stuck in a rut weather wise at the moment so, after finishing a shift at work, me and James headed out for a walk in the sunshine as we usually do when the weather allows it. This jacket was bought at the same time as the orange pencil skirt in my previous OOTD, I just haven't had a chance to wear or photo it. But isn't it pretty! I fell in love with the pattern as soon as I saw it and was umming and ahhing about it for a while because I would typically avoid this sort of boxy cut but I couldn't resist the brighton colour and geometric pattern.

In other news, I have just one more exam to go and then I am done with second year! Mixed feelings about the other two but I'm glad to just have it over and done with. The 2nd year of language degree very much feels like a limbo year- it's nothing new like first year freshers and we're stuck waiting for the third year abroad. But it's all come around very quickly and I'm looking forward to my summer plans including redoing my room and the big exciting news, an amazing holiday. Me and James have been hoping to find a good late deal holiday, seeing as Barcelona was such a disaster. And we found one for an amazing bargain! A week in Taba, Egypt, just up from Sharm El Sheik in 5 star hotel, all inclusive. I'm over the moon as the hotel looks amazing, there's a coral reef nearby and, because it's so close to the border with Israel, we're going to hope over to Jerusalem and visit Petra. Excited does not even cover it.
I  might do a holiday haul cuz there a few bits and bobs I want to get including a maxi skirt for any situations I need to cover up in and a backpack so I can carry everything around, including my camera, without aching my shoulders.

Anyway, I hope that explains my somewhat absence
I hope you guys are well and good luck with an exams if you have any!

Outfit Of The Day- ASOS Pencil Skirt

Vest- H&M
Skirt- ASOS
Necklace- H&M

If you've been in the UK recently, you'll know that we finally seem to be having a spring after what feels like the longest winter ever. We're still at that point where it's warm in the sun but cold in the shade and later on in the day. My solution to that? Midi skirt. They cover enough of your legs to keep you warm once it starts getting a bit chillier and I am totally in love with them. This is actually my second jersey midi pencil skirt from ASOS. The orange is perfect for summer and work really well with those of us that have a olive complexion and I also have one in a bright cobalt blue. As you can just see in the second picture, it comes down to just below the knee and I have found that they can limit how quickly you can walk due to how tight they are. It's even worse walking up the hill to uni- I had to do tiny little geisha steps the whole way up.... Other than that the quality is great and not see through which is always a good thing when your wearing a tight skirt.

I'm hoping to do more outfits now that the light has come back but I can't guarantee anything as I am *swamped* with uni work for the next couple of weeks. Also, unfortunately, even with a tripod, I simply don't have enough space in my small little student room to get a full body shot. That comes only if I nag the boyfriend....

Anyway, I just though I'd share this really simple summer outfit with you
I hope you like

Outfit Of The Day- Hey Iron Man, Hey Spidey

T-shirt- Topshop
Leggings- H&M
Shoes- New Look

Hey guys! I just had to share with you this T-shirt I picked up a few weeks ago. It's Iron Man and Spidey! I have to admit I bought the T-shirt almost entirely for the Iron Man element. And to be honest, the Iron Man element just reminds me of Robert Downey Jr and who doesn't want to be reminded of that- he's a badass. I even managed to walk around in this without the need for the jacket. I love the hour change as it means there's enough light still for me to drag the boy outside for an OOTD after I get back from uni.

I spent last weekend up at my boyfriends house before we headed back to university together. It's his birthday in a few weeks time but he always does something big with his family in the holidays. We ended up going paintballing... which was an experience... a very muddy, muddy experience.... Not entirely my cup of tea but the weekend as a whole was fun.
I've been a bit stressed out with uni recently too. We have to write a research proposal for our project that we do on our year abroad next year. I think I've rewritten mine about 5 times and it's due in on Thursday and is still is only half doing. I'll be glad to see the back of it by the end of the week. And then exam revision kicks in but at least I'm done by the end of May! I have a nice long summer to enjoy before I ship out to Spain in September.

Hope you guys are keeping well!
Who else is enjoying the lighter evenings?!

Outfit Of The Day- Cold Shoulders on a Sunday Walk

Jacket- ASOS
Hoodie- H&M
Top- Urban Outfitters
Jeans- BDG
Necklace- Topshop
Shoes- New Look
When I'm not at uni and back at home, I'm incredibly fortunate to live right next to the sea. When, for once, it wasn't bitterly cold and blowing a freezing gale, I went on a walk along the seafront with my dad and even persuaded him to take some photos for me. Excuse the minimal make up and crazy hair- its a hazard of living by the sea. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a high maintenance hair do....

I snapped up with cold shoulder top in the the Urban Outfitters sale section. It's a baggy fit but very comfortable. And I have to mention the hoodie I'm wearing underneath my jacket because it has literally saved me this winter. It's fur lined and so warm, I basically live in it. Easily the best money I've ever spent in H&M!

I'm heading back to uni quite soon actually, or rather, to drop my holiday things off before I shoot up to see the boyfriend for his birthday. The holidays haven't been half as productive as I would have liked but what sort of student would I be if I did it all on the first day, right? I'm also desperate for my student loan to come in but I'm a bit meh with everything in the shops at the moment. And don't even get me started on the presence of crop tops everywhere. They were not designed with the bigger bust in mind... There might be a hint of jealousy there...

So yeah, just a little update on what's been going on my end. My mum's currently cooking a Moroccan Lamb Casserole and it smells a-fricking- mazing so I can't wait to devour that in a few hours. Om nom nom..
Keep well, keep warm and keep happy :)
