Outfit Of The Day- The Habanera Jacket

Jacket- ASOS
Top- H&M
Jeans- BDG

Isn't it so nice to see blue skies! I feel like the UK has been stuck in a rut weather wise at the moment so, after finishing a shift at work, me and James headed out for a walk in the sunshine as we usually do when the weather allows it. This jacket was bought at the same time as the orange pencil skirt in my previous OOTD, I just haven't had a chance to wear or photo it. But isn't it pretty! I fell in love with the pattern as soon as I saw it and was umming and ahhing about it for a while because I would typically avoid this sort of boxy cut but I couldn't resist the brighton colour and geometric pattern.

In other news, I have just one more exam to go and then I am done with second year! Mixed feelings about the other two but I'm glad to just have it over and done with. The 2nd year of language degree very much feels like a limbo year- it's nothing new like first year freshers and we're stuck waiting for the third year abroad. But it's all come around very quickly and I'm looking forward to my summer plans including redoing my room and the big exciting news, an amazing holiday. Me and James have been hoping to find a good late deal holiday, seeing as Barcelona was such a disaster. And we found one for an amazing bargain! A week in Taba, Egypt, just up from Sharm El Sheik in 5 star hotel, all inclusive. I'm over the moon as the hotel looks amazing, there's a coral reef nearby and, because it's so close to the border with Israel, we're going to hope over to Jerusalem and visit Petra. Excited does not even cover it.
I  might do a holiday haul cuz there a few bits and bobs I want to get including a maxi skirt for any situations I need to cover up in and a backpack so I can carry everything around, including my camera, without aching my shoulders.

Anyway, I hope that explains my somewhat absence
I hope you guys are well and good luck with an exams if you have any!

Outfit Of The Day- ASOS Pencil Skirt

Vest- H&M
Skirt- ASOS
Necklace- H&M

If you've been in the UK recently, you'll know that we finally seem to be having a spring after what feels like the longest winter ever. We're still at that point where it's warm in the sun but cold in the shade and later on in the day. My solution to that? Midi skirt. They cover enough of your legs to keep you warm once it starts getting a bit chillier and I am totally in love with them. This is actually my second jersey midi pencil skirt from ASOS. The orange is perfect for summer and work really well with those of us that have a olive complexion and I also have one in a bright cobalt blue. As you can just see in the second picture, it comes down to just below the knee and I have found that they can limit how quickly you can walk due to how tight they are. It's even worse walking up the hill to uni- I had to do tiny little geisha steps the whole way up.... Other than that the quality is great and not see through which is always a good thing when your wearing a tight skirt.

I'm hoping to do more outfits now that the light has come back but I can't guarantee anything as I am *swamped* with uni work for the next couple of weeks. Also, unfortunately, even with a tripod, I simply don't have enough space in my small little student room to get a full body shot. That comes only if I nag the boyfriend....

Anyway, I just though I'd share this really simple summer outfit with you
I hope you like

Outfit Of The Day- Walk In The Park

Blazer- Forever 21
Top- H&M
Trousers- ASOS
Shoes- New Look
Scarf- H&M
Belt- ASOS
Lipstick- Revlon Heartbreaker

At the weekends I always try and get out the house, either by going swimming, gyming or more often than not me and the boy will go for a walk around the common which isn't too far away from our house. Both the top and trousers I'm wearing are recent buys. I normally shy away from stripes- the belief being that they make you look bigger but I thought what the heck and bought it the 20% student discount UniDays were offering at H&M the other day. It's from the LOGG section and is a bit thicker than their basics range which makes it perfect for layering. The trousers are a gorgeous berry colour and I've been waiting for warmer weather to wear them- I think they would look a bit weird with boots, no?- and my feet cannot cope with no socks at the moment. When  we got back from our work, I stuck my feet straight back into slippers and even then, they still took a while for the feeling to come back. Bad circulation....

We went through a graveyard as part of our walk which I find are a weird combination of eerie and intriguing but the boy also pointed out it's where a lot of Titanic victims are buried (the Titanic was built in Southampton) but unfortunately we didn't come across any of them on our walk through. Today, I'll be catching up with work- the whole of the university computer system crashed yesterday so I could do any work even if I wanted to. Shame. But now I have to crack on. I can't believe it's only 2 weeks or so until the Easter Holidays and then not long after that till exams. Time is flying past crazy fast.

Hope you lot are having a cracking weekend :)

Outfit Of The Day- All Black

Jacket- ASOS
T-Shirt- Urban Outfitters
Jeans- BDG
Converse from Schuh
Bag- ASOS

Long time no see! I feel like I've been away from the blogosphere for ages when really its been like a week! It's weird how out of the loop you can feel just from some time away from it all. My boyfriend had friends down over the weekend so that kept me busy for much of the time. We had a big night out on Friday and then headed down to a TGIFridays on Saturday and my god, I had the best burger- the Jack Daniels Burger. I wish I had taken some pictures now. So bad but so good! However, it's a new week and I'm getting back onto the healthy wagon. I didn't buy all that veg for nothing!

I managed to snap this OOTD before I dashed out the door to uni today. As you can see, the main feature is the new bag I bought from ASOS during their 25% student deal and it's perfect. I can easily get my notebooks, a tupperware for lunch and the rest of my bits and pieces in it, not a problem. The only thing I have found weird is that I've never really had a bag that you carry on your arm. I've always found it a bit inconvenient. However, if I'm just too-ing and fro-ing from uni, it's not too bad and I took the strap off another black bag I had and attached it onto this one, so if I'm really struggling, at least I've got the option there.

Not much else to report really. I bought some empty 100ml bottles ahead of going away to Barcelona in March so I think I'm going to draw up a European goodies wishlist. If you have any recommendations, please please let me know down below! - but bare in mind I'm limited to 100ml because we're only taking hand luggage :(

Hope you're all keeping well

A Beautiful New Leather Bag

ASOS black leather shopper bag

So as many UK bloggers know, ASOS recently did a 25% off for students deal and I couldn't let that opportunity pass me by, right? So I was browsing through and happened across this beauty. It's real leather and as you can see, absolutely gorgeous. I umm-ed and ahh-ed about it for quite a while, mainly put off by the hefty £75 price tag. I would never normally spend so much on a bag. Most of my bags are cheap and come from the usual high street suspects.

It arrived Friday after super speedy delivery- ordered on Wednesday and with me on Friday- couldn't believe how quick it was! And I'm so glad I bought it. It smells like leather and looks really good quality and high end. It has a popper closure and not a zip and no long strap, which is something I'm not used to. I think I might use it for easy uni days, when I don't need to take to much with me. It's certainly got enough space to fit a note pad in.

What do you think?
Did you get anything nice in the ASOS sale?

Outfit Of The Day feat Nose Piercing

nose piercing

Jacket- Asos
Dress- H&M
Boots- Asos
Necklace- Topshop
Lipstick- Ruby Woo

Yep, I finally finally bit the bullet and got my nose pierced! Yay! It was mainly because I had finished my summer job and could let it heal over the months that I'm back at uni before Christmas. Basically, the piercing asked me whether I would want to ever wear a ring (which was a yes) and then drew three dots on my nose with a felt pen for me to choose. Does it hurt? Yes. Not so much the initial prick but all the wiggling around bit that comes after and my eyes were streammming. But it wears off quickly and everything's gravy. No hotness or throbbing. Just a nice stud sitting cushty in your nose.

I snapped a sneaking OOTD in Urban Outfitters and it was the first outing for my new biker jacket and boots. I actually got several hours out of them before they really began to rub. I've basically just hobbled home. However, my big annoyance of the day was my handbag. I bought it from Zara a while ago, long ago enough for me to have chucked the receipt, but the cashier didn't do it properly or whatever, but it still sets off certain security alarms which is super awkward. I probably should have gone back and got it sorted at the time but you get so used to them going off all the time, you don't really notice. Anyway, I went into Zara- alarm goes off and I explain basically exactly the same here. Can they sort it out/deactivate what ever tag they left in it? No. They need a receipt. Balls. Or a bank statement. And I'm like seriously? It's got all my junk in it, clearly from your shop and I don't have a bank statement on me which wouldn't necessarily prove anything and they wouldn't deactivate it. So hopefully I'm going to go into the one in my uni town and explain it, armed with bank statement and hopefully will put an end to it. Just super irritating though. It would literally only take them two seconds to sort it out. Eurgh.

Anyway, rant over.
And either way, I'm super happy with my new nose stud and I picked up a few bits and bobs for myself as well which I will show you all tomorrow!

ASOS Adelaide Boots And Leather Jacket

Asos Adelaide Leather Boots

ASOS Leather Biker Jacket
Asos Leather Biker Jacket Detail

Finally! Finally my ASOS order came and I finally have in my possession a real leather biker jacket and a brilliant pair of leather ankle boots. Best £130 I've ever spent and I know I'll get a lot of wear out of them both!
I'm literally over the moon. The delivery came just as I got back from work this morning and I don't think my mum has ever seen me bolt it down the stair as quick as I did when I heard the knock. For £100, the jacket isn't the thickest leather around but it's well lined and I love the extra quilted detailing around the shoulders. I got it in a size up so that I could have room for a hoodie or jumper underneath and, unlike a lot of leather jackets I had been trying on, the arms weren't ridiculously tight and I've got plenty of wiggle room.

Now I want it to be winter so I can start wearing them with lots of wooly jumpers and scarves!
