Outfit Of The Day- The Doc's Are Out

flower Doc Martens boots

Coat- Zara
Scarf- H&M
Necklace- H&M
Jumper- Topshop
Jeans- River Island
And Doc Martens <3

So yes, in case you hadn't seen it splattered all over Blogger and Twitter, it snowed in the UK. And while I shudder at the idea of tramping through snow and ice, I am slightly happy that it is the perfect reason for me to dig out my Doc Martens. I've had them for yeaaaarrs and I don't wear them nearly as half as much as I ought to. So when the boy wanted to go for a walk as a revision break, I jumped at the chance.

Both the jumper and the jeans are new additions to my wardrobe recently. I had to return an item to Topshop- I hadn't worn it and tbh it was likely that I wouldn't ever, especially outside of the festive season. So I decided to exchange it for something I would be a lot more likely to wear and this jumper was the answer. I'm very 'meh' with a lot of the stuff in the shops at the moment but the stunning colour of this jumper made it stand out and despite circling Topshop for quite some time, this was the one thing I came back to. It's a very bright cobalt blue and I absolutely love it.

The jeans on the other hand are more or less because I really wanted some boyfriend jeans. I had had my eye on these from River Island for quite a while because I love the distressed rips in them. The only drawback is that I have to be careful when putting them on or else you end up putting your foot through it all.  I love how casual they are and I really want to pair these with heels and a t-shirt, come summer.

The next thing I'm after is a pair of really nice tailored peg leg trousers and I was just about to buy a pair when the boy pointed out that I might as well wait a while as I'm on a massive weight loss kick atm and there's no point buying them if I go down a size. So I didn't buy them but I thought it demonstrated that I'm really commited to losing weight. My first goal deadline is the middle of March when we go to Barcelona and I've lost 4lbs so far so it's pretty encouraging.

Anyway, I hope you life this outfit
Keep well

Merry Christmas and Sales Bargains

Heels- Zara Sale
Heels- New Look Sale
Blazer- River Island Sale
Dress- Zara Sale
Origins- Night-A- Mins

Hello! Hope you all had a good Christmas with lots of nice things!
Christmas isn't really a big affair in my house- minimal decorations or fuss and we don't go all out for presents as we'd all rather hit the sales/keep it to a smaller budget. So I thought I'd show you what I've snapped up so far. A few bargains but nothing insane. I'm particularly pleased with the two pairs of heels- both pairs that I had had my eye on prior to the sales and luckily were reduced. I got a pair of Superdry trackies actually for Christmas and they are so soft and warm! Perfect for when I'm trudging to the gym/ really cannot be bothered for an early start at uni.

But the real bargain that I got has yet to come. I did an order with Urban Outfitters- 4 items all in the sale. If I had bought them all at full price, they would have come in at just over £140. In the sale- around £83. I then managed to get student discount and free delivery on top of that so the total came to just over £70! Bargain! Including a new pair of black jeans. So I'm really chuffed for that but I'm just patiently waiting for the dispatch notice. I go back to university on the 5th and I ordered it to my home address so I'm hoping it gets here on time!

Apart from that, I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed with how much work I have to do still including 3 deadlines in the first week and then 2 exams and an essay in the two weeks after that. Slightly stressed but it because my timetable is reduced, hopefully I'll motivate myself to get to the library most days and power through the revision!

So I hope you are all keeping well and warm
And have a fabulous New Year

Hello You Beauties- Topshop Andre Wedge Boots

Hello you beauties indeed.
So my Christmas paycheck rolled in yesterday and I immediately went on a massive and long over due splurge and these were the real deal breaker. I have been lustfully eyeing these boots for months, trying them on and agonising with myself every time I went into Topshop.

Low and behold, yesterday Topshop had 20% off for students which meant instead of £68, these babies were £54! Bargain! I walked away from them once and then ultimately gave up, went back and bought them.
And I'm so glad I did. They are *divine*. The suede is a gorgeous very very dark navy in the right light and they are soooo comfy and easy to wear!
The only problem is the heel is around 4 inches. I'm already 5"8 and these on, that easily takes me up to 6"... But I do not care. I'd rather be tall!

Another thing is the sizing is a wee bit off. I'm a size 7, sometimes a 6 in heels. These are a big size 7, I at least have a centimetre of space at the end of my toe so just be aware of that. But I suppose that means wiggle room for thick socks or gel pads. I also love the style of them in that they lace up past the ankle. A lot of the problems that I have with heels is that my feet are very thin and so unless I have something to literally strap my feet in place, or they very tight court shoes, as soon as I start walking, my feet pop out of them and it's a nightmare.
But not these. God I love these shoes.

I won't be doing a haul post but instead, will be featuring the clothes in my OOTD's over the coming week. I'm also waiting on a delivery of hair products which I want to review before I do my big hair post so bare with me!

Anyway, hope you have a good weekend!
