Back Home

Yes! I am back in the UK and thoroughly enjoying gorging myself on gingerbread and proper tea albeit hiding in bed from the atrocious weather outside. That's certainly not been something I missed. On the 17th, I made the journey back home after carefully weighing my suitcase and was relieved to see I had 4kg to spare and at least 3kg was Christmas food I was bringing back home. So plenty of space to fill up when I go sales shopping.
The next day I made a beeline to Brighton where I met up with one of my uni friends who'd been out living in Brazil since summer. I naturally took the opportunity to meet up before she disappeared back into the wilderness. We had a good chat and catch up over coffee before strolling around the Laines looking at stuff I either couldn't afford or that made it onto my mental list to pick up in the sales.
One of the best finds of the day was discovering Tortilla, a Mexican version of subway with burritos and tacos instead of sandwiches. And my lord, it was delicious. We both chose the vegetarian, naked burrito (no wrap basically) which came with coriander rice, black beans, onions, pepper, a mild salsa and a big ole heap of guacamole. I polished mine off far too quickly.
Yesterday I also go my hands on my belated birthday present- a 50mm lens for my camera and I am beyond excited to start taking more photos with it. Because it's quite a light weight lens, I hope to take my camera out and about with me a bit more. My sister's present to me was paying for another piercing- I decided to get my forward/anti helix pierced so I'm in the process of caring for piercing no. 6.
I'm spending 10 days here at home and then I'm heading off to the boyfriends for a week over New Years. They're conveniently doing works on the rail network that I usually take to get there so I've got a bit more of  a longwinded journey but as long as I get there eventually!

If I don't post before Christmas, I hope you all have a lovely Christmas.
Eat lots of food and enjoy yourselves

Merry Christmas and Sales Bargains

Heels- Zara Sale
Heels- New Look Sale
Blazer- River Island Sale
Dress- Zara Sale
Origins- Night-A- Mins

Hello! Hope you all had a good Christmas with lots of nice things!
Christmas isn't really a big affair in my house- minimal decorations or fuss and we don't go all out for presents as we'd all rather hit the sales/keep it to a smaller budget. So I thought I'd show you what I've snapped up so far. A few bargains but nothing insane. I'm particularly pleased with the two pairs of heels- both pairs that I had had my eye on prior to the sales and luckily were reduced. I got a pair of Superdry trackies actually for Christmas and they are so soft and warm! Perfect for when I'm trudging to the gym/ really cannot be bothered for an early start at uni.

But the real bargain that I got has yet to come. I did an order with Urban Outfitters- 4 items all in the sale. If I had bought them all at full price, they would have come in at just over £140. In the sale- around £83. I then managed to get student discount and free delivery on top of that so the total came to just over £70! Bargain! Including a new pair of black jeans. So I'm really chuffed for that but I'm just patiently waiting for the dispatch notice. I go back to university on the 5th and I ordered it to my home address so I'm hoping it gets here on time!

Apart from that, I'm feeling slightly overwhelmed with how much work I have to do still including 3 deadlines in the first week and then 2 exams and an essay in the two weeks after that. Slightly stressed but it because my timetable is reduced, hopefully I'll motivate myself to get to the library most days and power through the revision!

So I hope you are all keeping well and warm
And have a fabulous New Year

Belated Merry Christmas and Pre-emptive Happy New Years

Merry Christmas
*belatedly*

I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas with your friends and family.
I, unfortunately, have been working solidly- the joys of a student holiday job, aye?
Including working Christmas Eve and Boxing Day. It hasn't been much of a holiday.
However, it has been the sales and I have managed to snap up a few bargains. Christmas isn't a hugely massive thing in our house so I often get some money to spend on what I want- the parents judge it to be the safest way.

Rather macabre picture of some poor Christmas robins hanging off one of our lights that I found rather amusing when I came back from uni.
So, I'm pretty much solid until I go back, when I'll show you what I managed to snap up in the sales and have enjoyed receiving on Christmas.

So, if I don't post before then, I would like to wish you all as well

Happy New Year

Have an amazing time and I'll see you in the new year :)
