Lately 001

1) Student life ;) 2) The cake I made for my boyfriend's birthday 3) Part of the walk to my uni campus
4) Perfect way to hide from the rain 5) Purely by accident eggy love 6) Frankie and Benny's
7) Kisses 8) Kitsch fabric 9) More cake

Instagram recently went over to the Android Market so instantly snapped it up. If you're interested, my Instagram user name is just over there under my profile and leave me a comment with yours! These are just a few snaps of what's been going on in my life in between uni assignments which I am swamped in at the moment. It's going to be a busy next month!
I have been indulging in a little retail therapy but the god awful weather here in the UK ( I'm talking about 2 weeks solid rain here) means I haven't had a chance to wear them yet! I might take a few photos on my camera and upload them if you would like to see what I've snapped up?
Other than that, I'm trudging on. I'm off to Thorpe Park tomorrow as part of my boyfriend's birthday present so I'm really looking forward to that despite the fact it's going to be raining all day. I will have to dig out my raincoat!

How have your week's been?
And if you're in the UK, how fed up are you with this weather -_- ?!

OOTD- Rain Rain Go Away

Blazer- Forever 21
Blouse- River Island
Top- H&M
Skirt- Forever 21

Well to absolutely no ones surprise the weather here in England is absolute rubbish. Today alone it's rained, been sunny and hailed. Typical, aye? Hence, inside pictures from my rubbish badly lit uni room which has made me look orange?! I just noticed that...

I desperately want some nice weather to come our way but that doesn't appear to be likely. I bought a few things Zara (who, may I add, are bang on trend with just about everything. Amazing stuff seriously) but I want to wait for some good weather before debuting them in OOTD's.

The blouse is last season from River Island and it's been a wardrobe staple for me for ages. The blazer is also a little unintentionally too big. I ordered it and it was a bit too big but I would rather style it as oversized than go through the convoluted hassle of returning thing- one of my biggest hates about internet shopping.

Hope you guys like!

Product Review: Clearasil PerfectaWash Vitamins and Extracts Wash Mask

Hello hello how are we all?

I recently signed up to be sent a sample of this new face wash that Clearasil is releasing in the UK and within in a few days, it arrived and I thought I would review it for you. Firstly it smells really nice and with all that avocado and cranberry goodness going on in there, I'm not surprised. It can be used as both a wash and a mask and both times I used it, it left my skin feeling amazingly soft and fresh. Unfortunately it's not the best at removing make up and I was still left with panda eyes after I rinsed it off. I can't help but constantly compare everything to Liz Earle now... Unfortunately the sample only had about two squeezes in it so I can't say how it fare in the long term.

I believe it retails for about £5 and the rest of the range, including an automatic dispenser and refills, comes on the pretty pricey range. And, to me personally, a bit unnecessary. But those are just my two cents and I may consider buying it when Liz Earle run out.

In other news, I've had an amazingly stessful week, what with going back to uni and essay deadlines creeping up, made all the more worse by the fact that my halls of residence has NO hot water or toilets. In order to have a shower or go to the toilet, I have to toddle across to the block opposite us. In all fairness, we are in the oldest block so it's just a bit unlucky.
And my hotmail account got hacked.
How have your weeks been?
Better than mine I hope!

OOTD And A Mini Haul

Top- Vintage
Shorts- American Apparel
Earrings and Necklace- Topshop
Shoes- New Look

Earrings- Topshop
Vest- Topshop
Sleeveless Shirt- H&M
Strapless Dress- New Look
Make Up Roll and Camera Case- Mother Dear :p

Ah the sun is shining again down here. I popped into town with my sister and picked up a few bits and bobs. I could spend so much money in the shops at the moment! All the new Spring Summer stuff has got me all excited! I go back to uni soon so I have a huge pile of clothes to organise and I am most definately going back with more than I left with!

I really love this outfit. I normally steer clear of anything cropped as I don't like my stomach and large boobs don't work in my favour but teamed with the new American Apparel high waisted shorts (which I got to replace the Disco Pants), it works so well! I am glad I swapped them for the shorts as I will be wearing these a lot! I also love the Topshop peace necklace. I've had my eye on it for ages and it's so simple and importantly, super long. The rest is other bits and bobs I've picked up recently. I'm thinking of customising the sleeveless vest with some spikes to give it a bit of edge.

I also included a picture of some things my mum has been making recently. The photo is landscape on my computer but for some reason Blogger decided it should be portrait instead... It's an ultra cute Cath Kidston-esque make up brush roll which matches really well with a make up bag I already have and I asked her to make a case for my camera, which, as you know if you've been following me a while, I have a habit of breaking. At least now I can sling it in my bag and it'll be protected.

So yeah! I can't believe how quickly this holiday has gone! Me and the boy are heading to Thorpe Park for his birthday but apart from that I have got so much work to do! Eurgh it's going to be a busy month :(

How are you guys doing?

Massive AA Disappointment & OOTD- Colour Blocking

Jacket- H&M
Black Top- Primark
Skirt- Topshop
Bag- Primark

I absolutely love the colour blocking trend and in a bid to introduce more colour into my wardrobe I bought the blazer and skirt a while back and the two together make the perfect colour combination, especially on a sunny day!

Now, I have a little confession to make. I have returned my Disco Pants. Well not exactly returned but I'll explain that later. Yep, after much deliberation and opinions from family and friends, I took them back (I'm very easily persuaded) However I have had an absolute nightmare with American Apparel. Why? Because they don't have a returns policy. End of. You cannot return/refund an item once you have bought it. And I was not aware of this when I impulsively bought them. You can only exchange and/or get store credit.

So I popped back into Brighton and was epically annoyed to find I had ventured out of my way back to Brighton for nothing as they didn't have any gift cards. And even if I wanted to exchange, unless it was to exactly the same value of the Disco Pants, any remaining credit would have to be placed on to the non existent gift cards. So a week, a complaint email (to which they didn't respond) and another train fare later, I successfully swapped them over for a pair of high waisted denim shorts, which to be fair, I will probably get a lot more use out of.

So yeah, I wasn't exactly impressed. I think the most irritating thing is- what company doesn't have a returns policy?! I cannot think of a single retail shop that doesn't give refunds. And I think it's a real swizz that you can only exchange, meaning in the end they still get all your money.

Anyway, rant over. I thought I should mention the whole returns fiasco because I think we so easily assume we can return items whenever. And if this helps one person notice this, then its been to use. Other than that, I think AA should put their policy in massive flashing neon lights next to their till...

Anyway, I'm off to work.
Have a lovely day xx

OOTD- Zebra

Jumper- H&M
Top- New Look
Jeans- BDG at Urban Outfitters

Just a quick outfit of the day for. My early shift finished at 11 and I needed to run some errands so I threw this together. Being of the large busted variety, I tend to shy away from high necked tops (which is a shame because there are *so* many gorgeous ones around atm) but I absolutely love this one from New Look.

This post also feature my favourite jumper of all time. I bought it from H&M at the start of winter and it has served me well! I take it everywhere with me as it keeps me so warm. I wear it as the outer layer in the warmer temperature and it fitted perfectly under my winter coat for a extra layer of warmth when it was chilly in the UK. Easily one of my best buys.

On another note, I know a lot of people like to have a plain white background for their OOTD's but unfortunately there isn't a single wall in my room that hasn't got some form of art on it. I am a HUGE fan of Alfonse Mucha which is daubed all around my room, as you can see in the background. I hope people don't mind!
